How will this category be judged?
The short list will be created based on entire which will be scored in terms of how they meet the required criteria. A second round of judging will then be held to determine the winner, taking into consideration their entry and, in particular, testimonials from staff, clients and customers about the team. Shortlisted finalists will be asked to send in a video of their team.


Criteria:
The winner will demonstrate outstanding performance in the following areas:

Then, the shortlisted businesses will be required to submit a specific piece of social activity from 2023 that received a high level of positive engagement with a written explanation of its planning, execution and outcome, detailing how it contributed to business growth.

                The winner will demonstrate that their social media excels in the following areas:

                • Professional presentation and upkeep

                Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year – Surgeon

                Who can enter?

                Any aesthetic plastic, reconstructive or ocular surgeon working with the aesthetics industry in the UK or Republic of Ireland who is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) or the Irish Medical Council (IMC). Surgeons should also either have a fellowship to one of the colleges, such as the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) or the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) , and/or membership of one of the following associations – The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), The Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons (IAPS) or The International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Ocular surgeons should also either have a fellowship to British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS), European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS) or Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth).

                Any General Medical Council or Irish Medical Council registered doctor, dermatologist or surgeon working with the aesthetics industry in the UK or Republic of Ireland.

                How will this category be judged?

                A shortlisting judging panel will create the shortlist and score the entries on how they meet the required criteria. The winner will then be decided by the judging panel taking into consideration their entry and a judging panel interview. Entrants must be prepared to participate in a judging panel interview via video conference call.


                If you reach the the shortlist stage your interview will take place on Tuesday, 26th March 2024 


                Criteria:

                The winner will demonstrate that they excel in the following areas:

                • A commitment to high levels of patient care and safety
                • Demonstration of ongoing professional education, training and revalidation, where applicable
                • A minimum of one patient case study that demonstrates your skills as an aesthetic medical practitioner
                • Testimonials from patients
                • Use of ethical marketing on social media
                • Evidence of clinical expertise
                • Ethical provision of treatments and adherence to best practice
                • Significant contribution to the industry and their profession in the last 12 months.
